The low-power converters which are much more expensive will produce sine-wave and this works fine for electronics. The high-power converters are designed for use with hair dryers and heaters, etc (motors are ok for example). Travelmart: The Best deals on Hotels, Car Rentals, Airline Tickets, Cruises, and more. The high power converters (rated for 1600W as yours is) are generally lableled "not for use with electronics" as they produce square wave and not sine wave output and this will fry most electronics power supplies (except very expensive ones which are designed to survive bad power input - consumer electronics doesn't have this!).
